Held at the stunning Grand Palais in Paris, the Bonhams auction sale took place 6 February during Rétromobile Week. The Grand Palais Sale is one of the Bonhams’s Blue Riband auctions and saw a 1929 Bugatti Type 35B sell for €1,610,000 (£1,340,000/$2,200,000).

We are delighted to announce that entries are now open for the Club’s prestigious ‘Spring Start’ Race Meeting taking place at Silverstone on 12 and 13 April. As the established season opener for Vintage and Historic Racing in the UK, we anticipate a full entry brimming with quality and, with the Club’s 80th Anniversary in full-swing and our friends at the HGPCA running their traditional Friday Test Day, there is even more reason to join the celebrations at the home of British motorsport this April.

With only 6 months until the celebrations commence for the VSCC’s 80th Anniversary week, we would like to remind all VSCC Members planning on attending the celebrations, based at East of England Showground, Peterborough from 4 – 9 August 2014, to put their entries in early for all events, as entries are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. This means that no preferential treatment will be given to anyone, including Directors, Staff, Marshals or Regular Competitors.

Are you looking for a New Years Resolution that doesn't involve giving up something that you love? Then why not make your resolution to give something back to the Club and sport that you love the most and support the VSCC by marshalling this year?
One of the Club’s most popular and well-supported disciplines, the VSCC 2014 Trials Season is almost upon us and begins, as is tradition, with the Exmoor Fringe Trial on Saturday 15 February. We are still seeking marshals to support this event.
