VSCC New Year Driving Tests Entries Closing Soon!

Monday 19 January 2015

The VSCC will again receive a warm welcome from our friends at Brooklands Museum for our annual New Year Driving Tests at the home of British Motorsport and Aviation on Sunday 1 February. Entries close soon for this ever-popular event so don’t delay and submit yours now.
Preceded by the traditional Brooklands Film Night (see details below), Clerk of the Course Kevin Lee has devised tests to reward accuracy whilst providing a fun and interesting challenge for all of those taking part, with Tests scattered across the site, including the famous ‘Test Hill’.

This event is a great social occasion for Competitors, Spectators and Marshals alike, so why not come along and join us at this historic venue, a fitting backdrop to a day of Vintage motorsport.

VSCC Driving Tests are a terrific introduction to Pre-war motor sport, demanding good car control at low speeds whilst being one of the cheapest disciplines. As such, they often attract a good number of younger competitors (minimum Competitor Age is 16, no Driving Licence required – restricted to Touring Saloon Cars under 1400cc). Read more about Driving Tests here.

Entry Fee: £50 (½ Price for those under 30 years on 1 January 2015)

The closing deadline for the event is fast-approaching on Wednesday 21 January so you still have a chance to submit your entry but don’t delay.

Minimum Competitor Age: 16 years old, restricted to touring saloon cars under 1400cc

Marshals: Please volunteer to the Competition Department

Download Supplementary Regulations and an Entry Form or enter online from the event page (CLICK HERE). Remember you will need to know the Buff Form number of the car you wish to enter and have a current payment card registered with the Club to use the online entry facility.

If you have any questions about this or any VSCC event, please contact the Competition Department on 01608 644777 Ext 4 or email comps@vscc.co.uk

Aside from the day's motoring competition, there is plenty to see and do at this historic venue, including the recently restored Stratosphere Chamber and even the brand new 4D Theatre so why not make it a family day out!
