Entries closing soon for the legendary VSCC Madresfield Driving Tests

Friday 07 August 2015

Entries close this coming Monday for our celebrated Madresfield Driving Tests, taking place on Sunday 23 August so if you have yet to submit your entry, do not delay!
Held since 1947 on the mile long drive of Madresfield Court, framed by the Malvern Hills, this is indeed an iconic Club event, taking place this year on Sunday 23 August, the day after our Mallory Park Race Meeting – it is sure to be a wonderful Summer weekend of VSCC motoring.

Competitors traditionally enjoy picnics and their own Concours as well as the fun Driving Tests, whilst Spectators come year after year to enjoy the day, with those arriving in their Pre-war cars taking part in their own Concours event. A delightful day out for everyone involved which encapsulates the true spirit of the VSCC.

Don’t miss your only opportunity to take part in one of the Club’s oldest and most prestigious events.

Entry Fee:     £50 (½ price for those Under 30 years old on 1 January 2015).

Closing date for entries: Monday 10 August

Download Supplementary Regulations and an Entry Form, the latter to print, complete and return to the Office (email/fax accepted), or enter online from the event page (CLICK HERE). The ‘Bob Watt Cup’ Concours

As in recent years, in addition to the Driving Tests and the Competitors’ Concours there will also be a Concours for spectating Members arriving in Vintage and Post-Vintage vehicles. The single criterion on which it will be judged is “which car gives the judges the most pleasure to see at the event”, with the winner awarded the Bob Watt Cup, named in memory of Club Marshal and long-time organiser of the day.

Judging will take place between 1.30pm and 2.30pm on the day and, unlike so many things in life, there is neither an entry fee nor any form to fill in; simply turn up and let the Car Park Marshals know that you would like to take part when you arrive.

Timetable: Driving Tests will commence at 11.00am.

Tickets: Admission on the day is free, but spectators are asked to buy one Event Programme per car.

Directions: The entrance to Madresfield Court is east of Malvern on the B4424 between Upton-on-Severn and Worcester.

Facilities: Refreshments • Picnic • Toilets • Favourite • Parking • Open to Public • Vintage Parking
