VSCC return to Bicester Heritage for the Winter Driving Tests next month

Monday 16 November 2015

The VSCC is delighted to return to Bicester Heritage for the year’s traditional curtain-closer, the Winter Driving Tests on Saturday 5 December – entries are now open so don’t delay and submit yours now!
A full entry of Pre-war cars is expected to take on organiser Mark Elder’s selection of driving challenges around the atmospheric venue, the last chance for Competitors to accrue those all-important points towards the Club’s many Annual Aggregate Trophies.

Driving Tests are a fun and challenging discipline and often seen as a great introduction to motor sport for the younger Member, promoting car control and accuracy in an entertaining and friendly surrounding. So embrace the wintery conditions and come and test your vintage driving skills with us this December.

Entry Fee £53.00 (½ price for those aged 30 and under on 1 January 2015)
Minimum Competitor Age 16 years old, restricted to touring cars under 1400cc

Club Members with a credit card lodged with the Office and who know the Buff Form Number of the car they wish to enter can still enter online at event page (CLICK HERE) or alternatively download an Entry Form to complete and return.

If you would like to offer to marshal, please volunteer to the Competition Department.

Entries close on Monday 23 November. If you have any questions, please visit the event page via the link above or contact the Competition Department on 01608 644777 Ext 4 or email comps@vscc.co.uk

There will be a chance to buy your Christmas gifts with a number of Trade Stands on site, including the Club Display, selling a selection of our Regalia range, including the Club's new history book, 'A Portrait of the Vintage Sports-Car Club, 1934-2014’ by Tom Pellow, as well as the Club’s 2015 Christmas Card “Winter Sports” by Richard Wade, just in time for the festive season (CLICK HERE for details of our current Special Offer).

And don’t forget...

MSA MEDICALS
Once again our VSCC doctors - Nick Bell, Nigel Cox (eyes), Andrew Mortimer, David Pryke, Max Sellers and William Sellers – have offered to be in attendance at the Winter Driving Tests to provide MSA Medicals as tradition.  Duncan, Karin and Charlotte Ricketts have also kindly agreed to assist again this year.

There is no need to book, simply turn up at Bicester Heritage, who are happy to accommodate this facility, with your licence application form and your cheque book.  We would like the medicals to finish at around 2.00pm so do make sure you are early.  A choice of charities will be the beneficiaries of the fee - those of you that pay tax will be asked to complete a ‘gift aid’ declaration as well so that the charity can claim the tax on your donation.

Club Principal Associates, Bonhams are again kindly donating Champagne in a free raffle for both medical candidates and Marshals.
