New Club Services Manager

Monday 25 April 2016

The Vintage Sports-Car Club is delighted to announce that with effect from Tuesday 31 May 2016, long-standing Club Member Andrew Tarring will take up appointment as the new Club Services Manager.
This is a much anticipated new role within The Old Post Office and Andrew will become the ‘Members’ Champion’ and given responsibility for developing and implementing a long-term Membership Strategy to ensure that our Members remain at the heart of the Club.

Andrew will also take the lead within the Office in respect of Marshals and will be integral to the work which is required to better value our Marshals as well as looking to more external resources to help support the Club’s extensive Events calendar.

Upon confirmation of his appointment Andrew said, “I am delighted to be joining the VSCC at such an exciting time, I am looking forward to meeting and listening to Members so that, with all the Staff, we can continue to make the VSCC the fantastic Club that it is.”

Chief Executive Dave Salmon added, “We are really looking forward to Andrew joining the team.  As a Club Member of many years, I believe that he understands the fundamental needs of our Members and so is better placed than most to develop our Membership processes and strategies.  As a Competitor he also appreciates the importance of the Marshalling fraternity and we all recognise that much more needs to be done by the Club to safeguard the future of marshalling at our events.”

As part of the wider re-organisation, Andy Conway has left the Club, by mutual agreement, to pursue other interests and we wish him every success in the future.  Arrangements will be made as soon as possible to start the recruitment process for a new Speed Championship Secretary.  In the interim, interested parties should send their CV direct to the Club Secretary.
