Entries Closing Soon for the VSCC Spring ‘South Downs’ Rally

Club Members are reminded that entries close soon for the upcoming Spring Rally, the first daytime navigation event of the season, taking place on Saturday 29 April.
Following the overwhelming success of last couple of years, the Rally returns to the Hampshire-Sussex-Surrey triangle, but will start and finish from a new venue in 2017, The Goodwood Hotel, adjacent to the iconic racing circuit.
The day will take the form of a traditional VSCC Rally without any tricks and a challenging route for the driver and navigator up and down the South Downs. Dick and Kimberley Patten, along with James Campbell take chare once more, and have enrolled the same team as last year to organise and marshal the event, including the availability of the all-important bacon rolls at the start!
This daytime Navigational Rally will be approximately 91 miles in length and will incorporate a welcome halfway Lunch Break. Route Instructions will be such that crews of all abilities should enjoy the day, with different plotting times depending on experience and different average speeds depending on your car’s performance.
There will be also be the increasingly popular Champagne Class with a Route Book for those who prefer a less competitive day and for which any Pre-war car may be entered (no Buff Form required).
Start / Finish Venue: The Goodwood Hotel, Chichester, West Sussex PO18 0QB
Entry Fee: £60 (½ Price for those Under 30 years old on 1 January 2017).
Closing date for entries: Monday 17 April
Minimum Competitor Age: 17 years old with full driving licence for drivers, 12 years old for navigators.
Download Supplementary Regulations and an Entry Form now, the latter to print, complete and return to the Office (email/fax accepted) or you can enter online from the Event page (CLICK HERE). Remember you will need to know the Buff Form number of the car you wish to enter and have a current payment card registered with the Club to use the online entry facility.
