Sue Staveley

Monday 19 June 2017

The Club are deeply saddened to report that Sue Staveley, long-time Club Marshal and wife of Club Director and Bulletin Editor John Staveley, passed away on Sunday 18 June.
Following a long illness, Sue lost her brave battle early on Sunday morning at hospital in her home county of Norfolk with her family by her side.

One of the Club’s most senior Marshals, Sue led the Assembly area at VSCC Race Meetings for the past several years, as well as being an integral part of the Start Line team at the Club’s Sprint and Hill Climb events, and was well loved and respected for her efficient, professional and yet most friendly approach to her marshalling duties.

Always smiling, it was clear to all that Sue relished her role at Club events and she was undoubtedly one of the central figures in the VSCC Paddock – Sue will be sorely missed by Competitors and fellow Marshals alike.

All our thoughts are with John, son Simon and all her family and friends at this especially sad time.
