VSCC New
Year Driving Tests: Re-scheduled
The
traditional VSCC New Year Event, The New Year Driving Tests at
Brooklands, Surrey has been
re-scheduled for Sunday
7
February. The
event was postponed
because of the recent bad weather.
Our
New Year Driving Tests are the perfect
chance to brush away those winter cobwebs and ease back into another
year of
Vintage motor sport, all against the idyllic backdrop of England’s
most historically important motoring venue. As last year, we will try
to park
spectating Pre-war cars in the Paddock, so there is a good display for
spectators and, of course, the chance to visit the famous Museum.
The
re-scheduled event will follow the same programme.
Over 50 competitors in Pre-war cars will be
participating in twelve driving tests around the historic venue,
including the
famous ‘Test Hill’ and surviving banked track area.
A large
number of VSCC members come to spectate in Pre-war cars so there is
always a
lot of interesting machinery to enjoy.
The first
tests start at 10.00am, lunch break is
from 12.30pm until 1.45pm.
Tests will be completed before dusk.
The Brooklands Museum and the
Concorde Experience will be
open all day as well adding value to your visit!
Tickets are still
available to members for the
re-scheduled Film show on Saturday 6 February, they are available to
Club
members only at £21 per head, (£11 for children
under 12) which includes
dinner. The bar
opens at 6.00pm, dinner is
served at 7.00pm with the film
show at 8.00pm, finishing at
approximately 10.00pm.
Send a cheque made payable to ‘Brooklands
Museum’ to Ann Watson,
Brooklands Museum Trust, Brooklands Road, Weybridge, Surrey, KT13 0QN
with a
SAE.

be Adult £9.00, OAP and Student £7.00,
