Race for 1950s
Sports Racing Cars – Sunday
A special
‘double-header’ for this
popular class with the second race to grid by the results of the first.
2 Hour VSCC
Team Relay Race –
Saturday
The popular
Pre-war Sports-Cars ‘Team
Race’ makes a welcome return after a 2009 absence. We urge
our regular and new
Team Captains to rally the troops and
get their teams of three or four car/driver
combinations together. Although not mandatory, single marque teams are
encouraged to add an extra little competitive edge to proceedings.
20 minute
Scratch Race for Invited
Pre-1960’s Sports-Cars - Saturday
This special
one-off race is for
those sports cars of the 1950s and early 60s (at the discretion of the
organizers) that are perhaps less used to the rigorous competition of
our other
50s Sports Racing Cars races on offer this weekend. Some rare and elite
machinery is sure to be on display.
10 Lap Williams
Trophy Race for
2-seater Pre-1934 Grand Prix Cars - Saturday
We are delighted
to once again play
host to the Bugatti Owners’ Club’s prestigious
trophy race incorporating no
less than four different trophies.
5 Lap Austin 7 Challenge
Race Saturday
Following its
success at Oulton in
2009 we are having a re-run of the challenge race where competitors
from the
750 MC will go head to head with our own VSCC Austin 7 racers.
10 Laps Scratch
Race for Front-engined
Formula Junior Racing Cars – Saturday
We invite the
front-engined cars of
the FJHRA back to compete after a successful outing at Mallory in August.
Testing
There will be no testing preceding the event.
‘Circuit Days’ are hosting a Track
Day at the venue on Friday 1 October.
Signing On and
Scrutineering
Please note
there will be no signing on or scrutineering on
Friday 1 October due to the Track Day at the venue (see above). As
such, there
will be absolutely no access to the circuit for anybody (competitors,
crew or
marshals) until 1700hrs on Friday evening.
Circuit Update:
The circuit has
been slightly
re-profiled at Goddards so that there is more run off area in front of
the
hospitality suites, approach into Redgate is now faster and the entire
starting
grid will now line up on the straight.
