The Vintage
Sports-Car Club attended the 2010 Cadwell Park season launch
yesterday, (Wednesday
24 March). The
annual VSCC Shuttleworth
and Nuffield Trophies Race Meeting takes place on Saturday 19 June as
part of a
‘Vintage Weekend’ with the Vintage Motor Cycle Club
racing there the following
day.
Richard
Black, (1939 Talbot Lago), Dougal Cawley (1929 GN Ford
‘Piglet’), Chris Hudson
(1925 Type 35B Bugatti), Graham Carr (1925 Bentley 3 litre) and Robert
Carr (1930
GN/AC Single Seater) attended with their cars and performed a fifteen
minute
high speed demonstration session and met the local media. Officials
from the
Club participated in a Question and Answer session with CEO of Motor
Sport
Vision, Jonathan Palmer in front of the gathered media.
Later
in the afternoon Robert Carr and his
GN/AC posed on the grid with representatives of other participating
series of
the 2010 Cadwell Park calendar including British Superbike Riders Tommy
Hill, James
Ellison, Josh Brookes and Ryuichi Kiyonari; Superkart drivers James
O'Reilly and
Stuart Parker; drivers from the new Troefo Abarth 500 GB Championship;
drift
cars from Modified Live and cars from the MSVR series.
