Continuing
the Club’s growing programme of social events in 2010 and
following the great
success of Club Secretary Mike
Stripe’s
recent Shakespeare Tour, members are reminded of the upcoming Touring
Assembly
in the Yorkshire Dales. Organised by Mike Clark and his dedicated team,
the
event promises a true driving experience around the scenic roads and
beautiful landscapes
of the countryside around Wharfedale, Wensleydale and Nidderdale.
Starting
near
Harrogate, the midpoint break will be at Hawes, home of Wensleydale
cheese (as
recommended by Wallace & Gromit) and the finish back at
Harrogate where there
is the chance to socialise with fellow members a little over tea and
scones.
If
you have
yet to submit an entry, don’t panic as there is still time!
Entries will remain
open over this Bank Holiday Weekend. Members can enter online (must
have a current
credit card lodged with the Club and car entered must be known to the
Club) or
download event Regulations and Entry Form to complete and
post/email/fax back
to the Club Office.

Members
might
also like to know that entries are now being taken for our next event,
the Shropshire
“Viewfinder”
Tour on Saturday 17 July. Tim Stephens’ route promises to be
an equally
picturesque affair – with a “Photo
Calendar” element an unusual but exciting addition
to a day out in the area of South
Shropshire.
