Scrutineers Choose Saloon

Winner of the The Silver Con Rod Trophy was Richard Gatley for his beautifully presented 1935 Frazer Nash / BMW 319 Type Saloon.

This is one of the most unusual trophies in the VSCC collection both in the design and how it’s awarded. Uniquely, the winner is chosen by the Scrutineers of the VSCC Prescott Speed Hill Climb meeting, who fastidiously check all competing cars. To win this award is a huge achievement, given the extraordinary selection of cars the scrutineers examine, along with the hours of preparation given to each and every car to enable it to compete on this famous hill.

Congratulations Richard.
