Former Chief Marshal Ray Edge Honoured with Prestigious Torch Trophy Trust award

Friday 23 March 2018

Congratulations to Ray Edge, former VSCC Chief Marshal, who was honoured with a Torch Trophy Trust award, presented by HRH The Duke of Gloucester in London on 7 March.
Nominated by the MSA for exceptional service to motorsport and his local community, Ray Edge holds 40 years of volunteering services under his belt, including acting as Chief Marshal for the Club, and encouraging and developing numerous volunteers.

The VSCC extends their congratulations to Malcolm Johnston of the Rathfriland Motor Club who also received a Torch Trophy Trust Award for volunteering services.

Volunteers are exceptionally important within the motorsport industry, without the Club’s dedicated team of volunteers VSCC events would look very different. To thank our Marshals and Volunteers the Club will be presenting an award to the volunteer who has best epitomised the spirit and virtues of VSCC Competition. Marshals will be able to nominate one fellow volunteer to receive the award. To find out more, click HERE.
