Formula Vintage 2018 Race Season Commences at Round 1 - Silverstone

Tuesday 24 April 2018

The Vintage Sports-Car Club’s 2018 Formula Vintage Race Season launched in fine style last weekend at Silverstone.
The Club staged an action-packed programme of 18 races over the 2 days supported by an AutoSolo, a round of the MSA British AutoTest Championship, a Park & Parade and also found time to incorporate ‘Drive It Day’ on the Sunday. The Invited Grids of AR Morgan Challenge, FISCAR, Historic Grand Prix Car Association and the Frazer Nash supported Freddie Giles Memorial Race all complimented the Club’s busy mix of historic grids.

Close finishes and nip and tuck racing was the recurring theme of the weekend, with Competitors drawn from throughout Europe and as far away as America. Entrants for the Park & Parade were thrilled by the experience of driving their beloved cars around the circuit whilst spectators indulged in the off-track entertainment.

All in all, a splendid weekend of motoring sport was had by all.
