Richard Wade 2013 VSCC Christmas Card now available

Thursday 10 October 2013

The VSCC has commissioned one of the Club’s favourite artists, Richard Wade for the 2013 Christmas Card and we are pleased to announce that it is on-sale now.  ‘Spirit of Christmas Past and Present’ shows a typical VSCC gathering at The Phoenix at Hartley Wintney, Hampshire..................
which was at the heart of the foundation of the Vintage Sports-Car Club in 1934. The landlord, Tim Carson and a Vauxhall 30/98 enthusiast, sold cars from the premises and his friends Tom Rolt and John Passini ran the Phoenix Green Garage next door.  A monthly "First Thursday" meeting was soon established for like-minded enthusiasts and continues to this day.  In this imaginary gathering, Richard has included several of the founder members’ cars among other cars which are more likely to be seen at a present day VSCC meeting. Is your car amongst them? Can you identify all those shown?
It is designed to signal the Club’s 80th Anniversary year, and is available to members and the general public.  Sales are also a considerable help for Club funds.
Once again, the Club is able to offer an over-printing service, subject to a minimum order quantity.  Full details are next to the booking form at the back of the Newsletter. Cards cost as little as 38p each, and are sold in multiples of 5 (10 minimum order) with discounts for orders of 60 and 160 cards.
