Winter Driving Tests headline a bumper day out for the VSCC at Bicester Heritage next month

Tuesday 18 November 2014

The VSCC is delighted to make its way to Bicester Heritage for the year’s traditional curtain-closer, the Winter Driving Tests on Saturday 6 December!
This year is again being organised by Mark Elder and the event is the last chance for competitors to accrue those all-important points towards the Club’s many Annual Aggregate Trophies as well as their final opportunity to compete in earnest with the Club in 2014. Driving Tests are a fun and challenging discipline and often seen as a great introduction to motor sport for the younger member, promoting car control and accuracy in an entertaining and friendly surrounding. So embrace the wintery conditions and come and test your Vintage driving skills with us this December.

Breakfast and lunch is available at the venue as is camping on Friday and Saturday nights.  Secure overnight car parking is available from Historit (www.historit.co.uk or 01869 248805).

If you would like to offer to marshal, please volunteer to the Competition Department.

Entries are now closed. For late entry availability or any other questions, please contact the Competition Department on 01608 644777 Ext 4 or email comps@vscc.co.uk

And don’t forget...

MSA MEDICALS
Once again our VSCC doctors and helpers will be in attendance at the Winter Driving Tests to carry out MSA Medicals for charity. There is no need to book, simply turn up at Bicester Heritage with your body, your licence application form and your cheque book. The tax payers among you will be asked to complete a ‘gift aid’ declaration as well so the chosen charity can reclaim the tax on your donation.

RACE & SPEED FORUM
We will also be holding our annual end of season Race & Speed Forum at the venue, starting at 2.30pm. This is your chance to give feedback on the 2014 calendar of Race, Sprint and Hill Climb events and also put forward any suggestions for these disciplines for next year and beyond. Tell us what you think of the venues, meetings, technical requirements and organisation all in an open forum style meeting. Everyone is welcome, seasoned competitors, marshals or those who are just starting out – so please come along and tell us what you want from the events organised by your Club. Please feel welcome to forward any particular items for the agenda to the Club Office prior to the day.
