Club Announcement

Wednesday 24 October 2018

The Vintage Sports-Car Club has decided that John Staveley should leave the role of Editor of the VSCC Bulletin at the end of the year.
John took over the running of the Club’s flagship quarterly magazine in 2007 from previous editor John Warburton. Under his editorship, the Club has enjoyed a magazine that combines high quality production values with detailed event reports and original historical research. John’s in-depth knowledge of the Club and its people, as well as his enthusiasm for automotive history, have combined to produce an authoritative journal of record. Notable features have included a meticulously researched series on Grand Prix failures, and the publication of some eye-catching archive images.

John has edited The Bulletin for 11 years, making him the second-longest serving Editor in the Club’s history, after David Thirlby. The next edition of The Bulletin - the Winter Issue - will be John’s last. His successor will be announced in due course. The VSCC thanks John for all his hard work, and looks forward to his continued presence and contributions to the Club.
