The Bulletin

'The Bulletin'  is the mainstay publication of the Club and is held in high regard amongst the pre-war car movement, being widely considered to be the authority on this period of motoring.  The magazine includes articles on specific cars, models and manufacturers as well as the characters and enthusiasts involved in vintage and historic motoring.Bulletin_Cover

Importantly, the magazine reports on all of the Club’s events (some 50 per year), from race meetings to social tours; all of the Club’s activities are well reported, usually by Club members with a tale or two to tell!  VSCC members typically own more than one pre or post-war car; they are knowledgeable in their field, highly enthusiastic about their hobby and always willing to share their exploits and adventures - both intentional and unintentional! - with like-minded people.

In 2006 the American based ‘Society of Automotive Historians’ awarded 'The Bulletin' the ‘Brigham Award’ for the best overall treatment of automotive history.

'The Bulletin' , averaging 100 pages per issue,  is posted to the entire VSCC membership (which currently stands at around 6,000, approximately 400 being based overseas) quarterly at the beginning of March, June, September and December.  Advertisers and distinguished members of the press receive a complimentary copy.

The 'Newsletter' is delivered to all Club members across the globe every month.  An all colour publication for several years, the 'Newsletter' provides the following information to members:

  • Event previews and entry information;
  • Details of monthly pub meets and other social events;
  • Details of motoring events organised by other clubs and organisations;
  • Results of all VSCC events;
  • Editorial from our Principal Associates;
  • A ‘Classified Advertisements’ section which is widely regarded by Club members as the place to purchase the best vintage cars, a selection of rare spares as well as miscellaneous items such as non-eligible cars, trailers and motor houses.  The 'Newsletter' now carries more trade advertisements than ever before; from pre-selector gearboxes to luxury Alpine ski chalets, you can advertise virtually anything in the 'Newsletter'  for a very reasonable fee where it will be seen in print and online by approximately 6,000 potential customers.
