Somerset Tour

The VSCC Somerset Tour will explore the unique and ancient landscape of the Somerset Levels. VSCC member Ross Mangles has kindly agreed to host the event at his cider farm near Crewkerne in the south eastern tip of the county. From there, drivers will head north, across the internationally-significant wildlife habitat of the Levels, into a land steeped in history and Arthurian legend. Expect a circular route of around 75 miles on quiet and predominantly flat roads that will suit a wide range of cars (although we promise there will be a few more challenging sections thrown in for good measure!). The last few years have seen particularly fine weather in the Levels at this time of year, and we’re hoping for more of the same in 2023, giving members an opportunity to discover this beautiful yet often-overlooked area of the country.
