Join the Vintage Sports-Car Club
The Vintage Sports-Car Club brings together people with a shared enthusiasm for vintage and historic cars, whether they compete, marshal, volunteer, spectate, tour, research motoring history or simply enjoy being part of the Club.
Founded in 1934, the VSCC organises around 40 competitive and social events across the UK each year, including Racing, Speed events, Trials, Rallies, Driving Tests, AutoSOLOs and Tours.
You do not need to own a vintage car to become a member. There are many ways to take part in Club life, and membership gives you access to the events, publications, knowledge and community at the heart of the VSCC.
What do I get as a VSCC Member?
Take part in Club events
Membership gives you the opportunity to enter eligible VSCC competitive and social events, subject to the requirements of each event and the eligibility of the car where applicable.
The Club's calendar includes Racing, hill climbs and sprints, Trials, Rallies, Driving Tests, AutoSOLOs, Tours and social events throughout the year.
Members can also receive discounted advance tickets for many VSCC public events and have access to events and activities organised specifically for Club Members.
The VSCC Bulletin
Members receive the Club's award winning quarterly Bulletin.
The Bulletin brings together event reports, historical research, technical knowledge and articles exploring the cars, manufacturers and people that have shaped vintage motoring. It has been at the heart of the Club's publishing activity for generations and remains an important record of both the history and continuing life of the VSCC.
Club news and updates
Members receive regular Club communications, including the monthly Newsletter and weekly News Sheet, with event information, Club news, forthcoming activities and other updates from across the VSCC.
Access to the VSCC Library
Members can use the Club's motoring Library at our headquarters in Hockley Heath, Warwickshire.
The Library contains an extensive collection of books, periodicals and other material relating to motoring history and provides a valuable research resource for Members interested in individual cars, manufacturers, events and the wider history of motoring.
Technical knowledge and the Member Forum
Members have access to the VSCC online Forum, including its extensive Technical section.
The Club brings together an exceptional breadth of knowledge about vintage cars, their maintenance, restoration, history and use. The Forum provides a place to share that knowledge, ask questions and take part in discussions about Club events and vintage motoring more widely.
VSCC Insurance
Members have access to Vintage Sports-Car Club Insurance, the Club's dedicated insurance scheme provided exclusively by Peter James Insurance.
The scheme has been developed with input from the Club and includes benefits designed around the needs of vintage car owners and VSCC Members, including options for younger drivers and Member to Member cover, subject to underwriting criteria.
Member discounts
VSCC Members can access offers and preferential arrangements from a range of Club Associates and partners.
These include organisations providing specialist services and products relevant to vintage motoring, as well as other Member benefits. Current offers and details are available through the Club's Discounts and Associates pages.
Sections, Registers and the wider Club community
Membership is about considerably more than entering events.
Members can become involved with the Club's Sections and Registers, attend local social gatherings and activities, volunteer at events, become a Marshal, help organise Club activities or simply enjoy meeting other people with a shared enthusiasm for vintage motoring.
Whether your interest lies in competing, maintaining and researching cars, motoring history or enjoying events from the other side of the fence, there is a place within the Club to get involved.
Do I need to own a vintage car to join the VSCC?
No. You do not need to own a vintage or historic car to become a Member of the Vintage Sports-Car Club.
Many Members join because they are interested in the cars, events, history and people associated with vintage motoring. Membership can provide a route into competing, Marshalling, volunteering and other areas of Club life, as well as the opportunity simply to enjoy the events and community.
Supporting the future of vintage motoring
By joining the VSCC, Members also support the continuing use and preservation of vintage cars and the knowledge, skills and traditions that surround them.
The Club works to provide opportunities for new and younger participants, to support the skills needed to keep these cars in active use and to ensure that vintage motoring remains something people can take part in rather than simply observe.
