Maison Louis Latour

We are delighted to welcome the support of Maison Louis Latour as sponsors of the Post-Race awards at the Club’s Race Meetings in 2016.

Maison Louis Latour is a vineyard owner and wine producer from Burgundy in France.  The company was founded in 1797 and is the oldest house in Burgundy still in original family ownership. Today it is led by Louis-Fabrice Latour who is the 11th generation and 7th Louis Latour.

Louis Latour makes wines in Burgundy, Beaujolais and the South of France. They are known for the breadth of their range and have wines to suit almost every occasion. They are fortunate to own 50 hectares of vineyard in the Côte d’Or, Burgundy’s heartland, which include the largest single holding of Grand Cru vineyards in the area.

Long ago Louis Latour recognised that pressure on demand in Burgundy would lead to rising process and shortages. This has led them to look outside the Cote d’Or has early as the 1920s all the way up until the present days and has led to wines from the Mâconnais region becoming widely available and to their highly respected projects in the Ardèche and Provence.
