Southern Rally

Unfortunately, the decision has had to be made to cancel this year’s Southern Rally.

This is a huge disappointment not only for all of you who were willing to give up your time to support the event but for the club as a whole and most importantly to Adrian & Peter who spent many hours putting together what was set to be a great event made even harder as this is the second year in a row that this decision has had to be made.

We have had to come to this decision based on multiple factors such as the small number of entries & the very low number of marshals that would have made it impossible to run the event and with no influx of marshals or competitors despite multiple efforts promoting the event it has not been enough and it is still unviable to run the event as planned.

Rallies take a huge amount of work to put together from multiple route checks and authorisation work in the lead up as well as organising venues and catering so I am sure you will join me in thanking Adrian & Peter for their hard work to get the event up to this point.

The traditional summer event for the VSCC's rallying contingent takes place this year in the New Forest, with classes for both pre-war cars and Category 1 Historics.
