Following the overwhelming success of the VSCC‘s inaugural meeting at Snetterton last year, we are thrilled to return the Club’s most prestigious Seaman Memorial Trophies back to Norfolk in 2013 to bring our racing season to another fitting finale.
We are thrilled to have received a super entry for our 12 Races on the SN200 circuit, its sure to be a thrilling spectacle with the track’s blend of long, fast straights and technical, sweeping bends, which so suits Vintage and Historic cars.
 
Highlights of the meeting include:
  • The conclusion of the 2013 Owner-Driver-Mechanic Award for competitors in the Standard and Modified Pre-war Sports-Car Race. (click here to read news item)
  • David Morris aiming to win a record nineteenth Historic Seaman Trophy for ERA R11B ‘Humphrey’. (click here to read news item)
  • Philip Walker looking to win a notable tenth victory with his Lotus 16 in the Flockhart Trophy Race.
  • Will Mahany flies in from the Caribbean to defend the Spero Title, that he has won an amazing eight times in succession. (click here to read news item)
  • British GT and Le Mans star Calum Lockie swaps modern machinery for a Pre-war Maserati 6CM in the Pre-war Racing Cars Race.
  • 1950s Sports Racers enjoy their final blast of the year, a superb field has been attracted for this final swansong of 2013 including Lister Jaguar, Alfa Romeo Disco Volante, Sadler MKIII, Lotus XI and three Maserati’s (two 300S and 200S).

PRE-EVENT TESTING, FRIDAY 27 SEPTEMBER

MSV are hosting a Test Day on the preceding Friday to our meeting open to any closed or open wheel car, whether competing over the weekend or not. The day will use the longer SN300 circuit with both Full Day and Half Day Booking available:
Full Day £240
Half Day AM £150
Half Day - PM £170

The day will be split into sessions and is open to the following vehicle types: Single Seaters - max 108 dB(A) static, Sports and Saloons - max 105 dB(A) static, Sports Racing Cars - max 108 dB(A) static.

Availability is not guaranteed so please book early to secure your place. Please note: ARDS-qualified instructors and National B (or above) race licence holders are welcome as passengers, and there is no additional charge.

EVENT TIMETABLE
Saturday 28 September
2115hrs                                  Access to circuit – Competitors will be directed to a parking area only and not the paddock. There is another race meeting taking place on Saturday at which the final race is scheduled to finish at 1830hrs followed by a hospitality event in the paddock. There will be no paddock access until such time as the organising club or circuit management allow, contractually this is 2115hrs. If you do not like waiting around do not arrive early.

You'll find the circuit 10 miles north-east of Thetford on the A11 from London to Norwich. Coming from the south, leave the M11 at junction 9 and follow the A11. From the north or west, use the M11/A11 and join the A11 after Newmarket.

Eccles Road, Attleborough and Thetford stations are on the main Cambridge to Norwich line.
