The Welsh Marches Tour

10 Oct 2015

Presteigne, Powys

Event main image
From its outset, back in 1939, the Welsh Weekend has always been made up of more than one element. In recent years the Trial has clearly become the dominant event, while a Navigation Rally has run alongside it for nearly two decades.

2015 will see another change with a Tour taking place on the Saturday. Participants will thus be able to watch the Trial, or better still, marshal on the Sunday.

The Tour will be open to Club Members driving any car built before the 1st January 1941. No Buff Forms required.

The route, of approximately 80 miles of car friendly roads, will be identified by simple and straightforward navigational Instructions. It will start and finish in Presteigne and will take in a lunch stop in Montgomery, Powys. As well as delightful roads with fantastic views a variety of interesting stopping points will be included along the way.

Entries are now open.
Entry Fee: £25

The entry fee includes coffee at the Start and tea at the Finish for two persons per car, but additional tickets may be purchased for additional crew members. Lunches will be available at a hotel in Montgomery, the Halfway Halt, on a ‘pay as you go’ basis; and to aid the catering arrangements you are asked to indicate on your entry form how many lunches/additional tea/coffees will be required.
