Round 1 of the VSCC Speed Championships produced some sizzling record-breaking action.
Three records were broken including the Course Record by James Baxter (Car 160) with a 35.21 in his 1934/35 2L Riley ERA.

The crowds turned out over the weekend at the opening round of the VSCC Fomula Vintage event at Silverstone. One of the highlights being the largest gathering of ERA's at one event for some considerable time.

VSCC Scottish Trial 6 April 2019
53 Entrants will be making their way to Coulter, near Biggar for the finale of the 2018/2019 Trial season, travelling from England, Scotland and Wales.
The McCosh family have made us welcome on their land, with scrutineering taking place on the drive of Culter Allers before the cars take to the hills.
Ten marques are represented, Stuart Cooke in his 1921 Morris Cowley is the oldest car taking part.
Competitors will have 14 hills in total, 8 in the morning before returning to Culter Allers for the lunch break to be followed by 6 in the afternoon before adjourning to the Mill Inn for post trial refreshments followed by the results, weather permitting will be on the steps of the Inn.

In addition why not treat yourself to an indian head or a seated back massage in a vintage caravan or simply reminisce by listening to the vintage band*.

Grid Walk Planned Prior to Le Mans Style Start!

Plans are afoot to open the gates to the spectators for a very special grid walk immediately prior to the Benjafield 100 ‘Le Mans Start’ race, at Round 1 of the VSCC Formula Vintage Series at Silverstone on 13/14 April.
This will be the largest number of Vintage Bentleys ever in a single race, with 3 litre, 4½ litre, 6½ litre and 8 litre cars registered to race, it is unlikely that there will be this many on track again for some considerable time. Mobil 1 The Grid TV Coverage
The VSCC are pleased to announce that ‘Mobil 1 The Grid’ will be attending Silverstone on Saturday 13th April to film two TV pieces – an overview of the VSCC and a separate feature on the Benjafields Race.
Mobil 1 The Grid is a motorsport magazine TV programme which is broadcast globally through a network of 112 broadcasters, so we are delighted to have been chosen to be featured in two of their programmes due to be aired during Spring / Summer 2019.

Herefordshire Trial Saturday 16 & Sunday 17 March 2019 PRELIMINARY RESULTS.pdf 109 Entrants signed on at How Caple Court. The Yard was a mass of pre war cars from early on Saturday waiting for Scrutineering to start. Once competitors had signed on they were able to part take in the coffee and bacon sandwiches ahead of the eight hills on Saturday. With the wind whistling up the longest Hill No 8 Foxhalls many cars got very hot, in stark contrast the Marshals at the top of Foxhalls, Harriet Turley and Emily Owens were struggling to keep warm. |

The Herefordshire Trial - Takes place this weekend

A full entry of 110 cars will be in action throughout the weekend.

Fiennes Restoration Host First Heritage Legacy Meetings

Fiennes, who are an AoHE member invite people to park and look around their superb restoration and manufacturing facility nr. Burford, Oxfordshire. The AoHE is especially keen to get as many ‘young peoples’ sections of vehicle clubs involved. There will be representation from the Heritage Skills Academy to talk about careers and qualifications within heritage engineering.
