Paul Tunnicliffe

I first joined the Club as a schoolboy, and quickly became besotted with the old car world. I owned a number of Austin 7’s which introduced me to the Club’s activities before moving on to an Alvis 12/50 and a Lea Francis Hyper. I am now fortunate enough to own a Bentley 3 litre and a Frazer Nash, both of which are regularly campaigned in events.

My career was mainly spent in the motor industry, so cars in all their guises have been central to my life. I learned much about commerce from selling new cars which I hope to apply to my role with old ones. The world is changing fast, and with that comes both opportunity and challenge. My task is to ensure that the VSCC is in the best possible shape to deal with both. I am particularly keen to attract more young members to the Club, to whom we can offer a vibrant social scene and an easy route into the world of motor sport.
