Wessex Trial
26 Apr 2026

Come to the Diffey Brothers Wessex Trial, a non championship round event at a bargain price. It is also an opportunity to loan your trials car to another for them to experience trialling.
The trial, now in its 5th year, is named in memory of James and Simon Diffey, great drivers and supporters of the VSCC. It is run slightly differently along the principles of MCC trials, with cars setting off at one minute intervals just as they did in the 1920s.
The 50 mile route takes in the wonderful Mendip countryside with views across the Somerset levels, to Wales and of course Middle Earth. The trial, conditions allowing, includes Burledge, a section used in the 1930s and run by the Bristol Motor Club then and now, with other grassland and farm sections along the journey.
Look forward to seeing you in the April sunshine!
Unfortunately there are no spectator hills at this event.
