Staffordshire Tour
25 Aug 2024

The
organiser of this year’s VSCC Staffordshire Tour has been scratching what is
left of his head and trying to devise a route which will show you all yet a
different side to this county. The scenery may be not quite so dramatic as last
year but promises at least three historic hill-climb courses, three canals,
several rivers, sites of both 1st and 2nd World War
interest, two historic royal forests, some fine churches and
country houses - and more, all on interesting roads!
Once
again the start and finish will be at Gayton Village Hall near Weston on the
A51 – and the refreshments promise to be as good as last year’s……
How
can you resist such a tempting invitation?
Want
more to tempt you to Staffordshire at the end of August? Well the organisers of
the well-established Curborough Charity Day would love to hear from you as they are holding this
splendid fund-raiser for Staffordshire Clubs for Young People on the day after
the VSCC Staffordshire Tour – by good fortune that is Bank Holiday Monday,
August 26th. Further details of this event (which welcomes all
interesting machinery on 2, 3 or 4 wheels…) can be found at https://staffscyp.org.uk/curborough-charity-day/
