The Pomeroy Trophy

2012 marks the 60th anniversary of ‘The Pom’, the unique event in which the speed, agility and braking ability of Pre-war and Post-war machines are pitted against each other. Over the course of the event all competitors will take part in handling, acceleration and braking tests, followed by a time trial and a test to make sure their car can carry two ‘standard’ VSCC size suitcases! In addition to the circuit based tests, cars are required to be road legal. Competitors are required to pass through a filter point in order to confirm that they have driven the cars to the circuit. The car which wins ‘The Pom’ is always a true all-rounder driven by a great driver, so why not join us and see how you and your favourite car fair?
Following on from last year’s experiment, Silverstone and the VSCC has again agreed to make The Pom a public event for 2012.
