VSCC raise money for Sport Relief at Awards Dinner/AGM Weekend

Tuesday 25 March 2014

Coinciding with this year’s Sport Relief event, a collection was made at the Club’s Annual Awards Dinner and AGM weekend at Chateau Impney, where Members donated a fantastic £587.35 to the charity.
The Club’s second annual AGM weekend proved an overwhelming success with hundreds of Members and Marshals in attendance for both Friday’s Annual Awards Dinner & Presentations and Saturday’s Marshals Dinner. Alongside the vital business of the Annual General Meeting and Marshals Forum, attendees also enjoyed interviews with our compère Ian Titchmarsh and our Dinners’ Special Guests, Damien Smith, Editor of Motor Sport Magazine and Joy Rainey, historic Hill Climb racer, who recently completed her Across America adventure in a 1904 Oldsmobile*

*You will be able to see Joy and the veteran car on Saturday 12 April of our upcoming ‘Spring Start’ at Silverstone.

The Club would like to thank all those who came and made the weekend such a success. We also extend our thanks to the Spollon family and their team at Chateau Impney, who looked after us so well. Like many others, we look forward to motor sport returning to the venue in 2015!
