Curborough welcomes the VSCC for the opening round of the 2013 Speed Season this May Bank Holiday Sunday

Why not celebrate the late arrival of Spring and join us for the opening round of the 2013 Speed season at Curborough, Staffordshire, this Sunday 5 May. With  a full entry of 110 Pre-war cars and over 20 makes and models showcased, visitors are sure to experience a wonderful day’s motorsport at this friendly sprint course.
2012 Fastest Pre-war winner, Terry Crabb, will return to the track in ERA R12C and is a strong runner for FTD this weekend, although he should expect to be challenged by the Hispano / Amilcar Special of Robin Baker, who secured the 2012 title for Fastest Vintage Car a close 1.5 seconds behind R12C.

Our memorable Edwardian Class, features the 1905 Darracq 200HP Landspeed Record car, expertly piloted by Mark Walker, Andrew Howe-Davies in the SCAT Racer, David Baker in his Piccard-Pictet Special and James Collins in the Hudson Super Six, who is tipped to be vying for the class win.

Conveniently situated 2 ½ miles north-east of Lichfield and a short drive from the A38 at Fradley, Curborough provides a welcoming atmosphere for all of its visitors.

Practice Runs start at 9.30am, followed by lunch, with Competitive Runs in the afternoon.

Tickets are available on the gate at a cost of £10 per person, with under 16s entry  free of charge.

Club Members are reminded that the Office will be closed on May Bank Holiday Monday.
