Join a brilliant Brooklands Sprint line-up

A quick reminder that entries to the VSCC Brooklands Speed Trial on Saturday 15 June close TODAY! As part of the Brooklands Double Twelve Motorsport Festival weekend, competitors can enjoy a rare opportunity to drive the Mercedes Benz Testing Track adjacent to Mercedes Benz World and Brooklands Museum near Weybridge in Surrey.
You may also choose to enter the Driving Test or Concours element of the event on the preceding day too, and be part of the full ‘Double Twelve’ event.
Mac Hulbert returns to defend his ‘Fastest Time of the Day’ mantle from 2012 in his historic ERA, R4D and will be joined by fellow ERA racer, Terry Crabb in ERA R12C. Jeremy Rivers-Fletcher makes his debut at a VSCC Speed event in his historic 1934 MG NA and John Dennis represents Edwardian cars in his 1907 Berliet Curtiss. Class 11 is set to be a fearsome battle between Dougal Cawley in his Ford engine GN special, ‘Piglet’, Rachel Kirkby in her Bentley 3/4 ½ litre, Jo Moss-Kitcher in her Invicta Sports and Maurice Gleeson in his Riley Ford Special. They will all be out to beat Ewen Getley in his Bentley 3/4 ½ litre which is proving to be even faster this season.
Original Brooklands racers are not to be missed either; the Bentley Pacey-Hassan makes a welcome return to VSCC competition in the hands of William Medcalf having recently returned to the UK following oversees ownership. The original Brooklands cars of Ian Baxter’s MG Bellevue Special, Michael Fitzmaurice’s Halford Special and James Cheyne’s Halford Special will be sparring in Class 14.
Three Mini Cooper’s go head to head in the one-off BMC Mini Cooper class but why not throw down the gauntlet and join in the fun yourself?
The Speed Trials cost only £100 to enter (and add on a Driving Test or Concours entry for only £10) that will include driver and guest hospitality at the Drivers’ Club in the iconic Brooklands Clubhouse.
The Double Twelve Motorsport Festival is a unique weekend in the competition calendar giving, as it does, owners the opportunity to do as much or as little spirited motoring as they wish, within a genuinely historic environment inside the M25 (indeed, the Speed Trials is the only VSCC speed event held in the South East).
