Vauxhall 30-98 Centenary to be celebrated in style at Shelsley Walsh hill climb this weekend

Wednesday 03 July 2013

2013 marks the centenary of the Vauxhall 30-98 model, which was referred to in period as the ‘King of all Sporting Models’.  This week, over one hundred 30-98 cars are participating in a week of special events across the country which culminate at Shelsley Walsh this coming Sunday 7 July.
The full participation will park in the Vintage car parking area adjacent to the hill – such a rare event is worth witnessing alone, yet on track, no less than nineteen 30-98s will be in competition specification, tackling the mighty challenge of ‘Shelsley Walsh’.

Gates open at 8am and cars start competing on the hill from 9.15am.
There will be a break for lunch around midday and competition will run in the afternoon until approximately 5.30pm.

Shelsley Walsh is located deep in the Worcestershire countryside near Omberlesley, ten miles north-west of Worcester, near Clifton upon Teme.

Advance tickets sales are now closed but they are available on the gate at £20.00 per person,  children under 16 free.

The event features VSCC cars but is organised wholly by the Midland Automobile Club therefore please visit their website for further information.
