Those who plan to compete at the Welsh Speed Weekend at Pembrey Circuit in South Wales on 17-18 August are reminded that they have a week to get their entries in

Whilst the Club has enjoyed a long history of race events at Pembrey, after a break of nearly fifteen years the VSCC has enjoyed three recent returns to the popular South Wales circuit, and this August’s events looks to build on previous successes.
The Sprint runs all the usual VSCC Sprint classes including Post-war Invited Classes, from 750cc Sports-Cars to Pre-1961 Racing Cars and 1950s Sports-Cars.
The Team Race entry fee is only £300 per team (equating to £100 per person)....a bargain for potentially more than half an hour’s track time. Get your marque friends together and come to South Wales for some serious fun as the Frazer Nash teams go head-to-head with Riley, MG, Bentley teams and more. There’s a great Saturday night social to enjoy too and good camping facilities at the circuit.
The Hawthorn Memorial Trophies Race Meeting will be held on the Sunday and will feature a full programme of VSCC races including:

Race fees start from £95 for a 6-lap Scratch or Handicap Race and Trophy Race fees start from £135.
The circuit is not as long a drive as you may think; take the M4 past Cardiff and Swansea (it is only an hour and a half’s drive from the Severn Bridge or an hour and forty minutes from the bottom of the M50 at Ross on Wye); Pembrey lies just outside the seaside village of Llanelli, or take the cross country route from the Midlands through Builth Wells, Sugar Loaf Mountain and Llandovery.
