Entry Deadline for Welsh Speed Weekend extended!

The entry deadline for the VSCC’s fourth visit to Pembrey circuit on the South Wales coast on 17th / 18th August , for a bumper weekend of Sprinting and Racing has been extended to the morning of Tuesday 6 August (or 23.59hrs on Monday 5th August for online entries).
Saturday will start with a Sprint, taking in ¾s of Pembrey’s technically challenging circuit. A strong entry of over 70 cars has already been received, including Mac Hulbert in ERA R4D, who will undoubtedly be hoping to defend his title, as Fastest Time of Day from last year’s event. Entries are only £75 for the first driver, or a paltry £50 for the second driver to take part in this event, or for those who enter Sunday’s Race Meeting. Click here to enter the event.
Late afternoon sees the VSCC Team Relay Race take to the track, where teams of three drivers and two or three cars take on a 90 minute endurance challenge, with two prizes up for grabs; Best Team on Scratch and Best Team on Handicap. We already have 13 teams, and 39 driver / car combinations entered for the event, so why not get your own team together? Entry fees are only £300 per team, which represents excellent value for money at a cost of only £100 for at least 30 minutes of track time per driver. Click here to download Entry Forms.
Sunday morning heralds the Hawthorn Memorial Trophies Race Meeting taking to the circuit, with a full programme of 11 races scheduled to follow the morning Practice Sessions - competitor, marshals and spectators are in for a real treat. Alongside the established VSCC ‘Sets’, our 1950s Sports Racing Cars will be battling for the Club’s prestigious Hawthorn International Trophy. We also welcome the Welsh Sports and Saloon Car Championship, who will undoubtedly add an additional element of excitement to the meeting.
