Gearing up for a Great Prescott Speed Hill Climb 2013

Prescott is not just about four wheels and engines (or three if you are a Morgan enthusiast!), the annual Bicycle Races are a highlight for the hundreds of youngsters who enjoy the event every year with their families. Merry Printers once again kindly sponsor this year’s races that start at 9.00am on Sunday morning.
Victorious race winners will be presented with a commemorative ‘yellow jersey’ and a goody bag for their efforts.
There are four races:
-under 10 years old.
- 10 to 15 year olds
- ‘All Comers’ and unusual bicycles, tandems, Penny Farthings and traditional racers are welcomed
The final is a Pedal Car race for children under 16. All child competitors must wear a helmet. Assemble from 8.30am on Sunday morning to sign on.
VSCC Prescott Speed Hill Climb commences tomorrow morning with the first hills running up the hill from 9.30am. Tickets on the gate cost £15 each. On Sunday, 260 competitors will tackle the hill in an array of Pre-war machinery twice (once in the morning and once in the afternoon). Gates open at 8.00am and the first car will run up the hill at 10.00am after the bicycle races. Tickets on the gate cost £25. Children under 16 go free.
