PERUSING PETERBOROUGH EVENT JOINS CITY’S GREAT WAR COMMEMORATIONS

The VSCC are delighted to have been invited to join The City of Peterborough’s commemoration of the Great War, taking place on Monday 4 August in the centre of the City.
Cars taking part in the Perusing Peterborough event will be privileged to park in and around the Cathedral and the linked Precinct, where their cars will be attended by a dedicated team of marshals and admired by the surrounding crowds visiting the centre of the City on this important occasion.
All participants will be welcomed to the City by the Mayor, and then benefit from escorted tours in small groups around local attractions including the Norman Cathedral, Museum and City Centre.
The City of Peterborough is currently developing this high profile event, of which VSCC is an integral element, which will undoubtedly grow in terms of activities and profile over the coming weeks.
This event will have hundreds of people in attendance, as well as a high level of media interest, and therefore provide us with the perfect opportunity to introduce the Club and promote events coming up later on in the week.
Entries are being accepted online (you will need a Eligibility Document and Credit Card lodged with the Club), downloadable Entry Form (you will need your Membership Number and PIN to log into the website) or by sending a SAE to the Club Office.
There are multiple accommodation options for all those attending, with Camping available at the Showground and specially discounted deals with local hotels for VSCC Members.
