Andrew Tarring Joins the VSCC

Tuesday 31 May 2016

The Vintage Sports-Car Club is delighted to welcome Andrew Tarring to the permanent staff at The Old Post Office.
Andrew has been a member of the VSCC since 1988 and has competed in all types of Club events and, if not competing, has helped as an 'oily rag'. He names his best Vintage day when he was on his uncle, Trevor Tarring's 1908 Napier, riding from Weybridge to Wiscombe.

Andrew comes from a Publishing and Bookselling background, having worked in this field for almost thirty years, his last job being Sales Manager at a specialist Book publisher and distributor.

The Club has taken the opportunity of Andrew’s forthcoming arrival to review the manning in the Competition Department to make the most of Andrew’s long association with both the VSCC and familiarity with our Non-Speed Events.

Accordingly, with immediate effect Andrew becomes the Non-Speed Secretary, allowing Richard Prunier to take his more circuit-based motorsport experience to the Speed Secretary role. Completing the team are the Competition Secretary Gemma Price and Callum Pharo, the Competition Administrator.

These changes bring the Competition Department up to full strength at long last and will improve the planning and delivery of events across all disciplines over the coming months.

The Club is recruiting separately for the Club Services post, which once filled will finally bring The Old Post Office up to full complement.
