De Nevers Hunt Trophy Winner

Monday 25 February 2019

The De NEVERS HUNT TROPHY is awarded by selection at the Club Office, often on recommendation from outside the Office, for good work as a Marshal.

Marshals and Volunteers come in many forms and cover lots of different roles, and this year the Club has chosen to recognize the efforts of one of the great unsung heroes of the VSCC.

Every Wednesday we welcome a loyal band of volunteers into The Old Post Office who look after and have helped to expand the Club Library as well as maintain our extensive archives and have done so for many years. The Club’s Library has become one of the largest and most respected Pre-war libraries and research facilities in the country and we regularly welcome VSCC Members and Journalists undertaking research.  Their needs are met by the librarians who are always happy to assist with any research requirements.

The winner of the De NEVERS HUNT TROPHY heads up this team and alongside his weekly pilgrimage to TOPO he can also be found at events on the regalia van, representing the Club at Shows, marshalling on Trials as well as working in the paddock at Curborough.

A longstanding member for the past 37 years, he is a familiar face to many within the Club and has an encyclopedic knowledge on Pre-war Cars.  This year we are delighted to recognise the outstanding commitment of Ian Ferguson the winner of the De NEVERS HUNT TROPHY
