Following the success of the 2015 Measham – the 65th Anniversary of the seminal VSCC event – we are delighted to return to North Yorkshire and welcome back the experienced team of John Potter and Brian Hughes, assisted by Jonathan and Sue Swales, to organise this year’s event. First run in 1950, the Measham is one of the most important events in the VSCC calendar and the ultimate Pre-war motoring challenge. Always organised by enthusiasts for enthusiasts, a finish, let alone an award, on any Measham is a major accomplishment of which any motorsport Competitor can be proud.

In addition this year, we will be inviting Members of other Pre-war Car Clubs to take part, and hope to introduce some ‘new blood’ to the VSCC by means of this most special overnight Rally.

The start, halfway and finish will again be at Thirsk Auction Mart, an excellent venue, easy to get to with dual carriageway all the way from the south! Ample trailer parking, undercover scrutineering and fettling facilities and plenty of plotting room. Drinks and hot food will be available from the Gavel Bar on site. There are some great village pubs with rooms and B&Bs in the area. The Fast Class will follow a route of 180 miles, with a reduction for the slower cars, instructions will be by map reference only, the emphasis being on accurate timekeeping and there will be a section timed to the second to act as a tie decider. If you would like further reassurance or information please ring John on 07747 797277 or Brian on 01765 607949.

VSCC Rallies are not really suitable for spectators, however, you would be welcome to attend the start venue to wave the cars away.
