All Welcome, Newbies Encouraged! 

We are delighted to be holding a training day for Trials Marshals on 4th October at The Red Lion/Peak Edge Hotel, Stone Edge, Darley Road, Chesterfield. Derbyshire S45 0LW.

The training will be aimed primarily at those relatively new to marshalling, those marshals who have recently taken on the role of Hill Chief and also competitors who have little experience of marshalling on Trials, but all marshals are welcome.

There will be a theory session in the morning, including the purpose and role of the marshal, stop and re-start procedures, scoring and marking, reversing off a hill, radio communication, spectator and safety management, the role of the Hill Chief, briefings, hill management, and incident reporting.

The afternoon session will be a practical session outside, where we have the use of some land opposite the Hotel, putting into practice what you have learnt.

This course is free to all who attend, tea and coffee will be provided plus a light lunch.
