The Vintage Sports-Car Club has been shortlisted for Club of the Year at the 2026 International Historic Motoring Awards, while the VSCC Pomeroy Trophy is in contention for Motorsport Event of the Year. The Club is also celebrating the shortlisting of the remarkable 1926 Thomas Flatiron restoration.

The Vintage Sports-Car Club is delighted to announce that both the Club and one of its flagship events have been shortlisted in the 2026 International Historic Motoring Awards.

The VSCC has been named on the shortlist for Club of the Year, recognising the work of the Club, its volunteers, competitors and members in preserving, promoting and enjoying historic motor sport and vintage cars.

In addition, the VSCC Pomeroy Trophy has been shortlisted for Motorsport Event of the Year, recognition for one of the most distinctive and much-loved fixtures in the historic motoring calendar. Combining roadworthiness, performance and practicality in a unique series of tests, the Pomeroy Trophy continues to demonstrate that vintage and historic cars are best appreciated in active use.

The Club is also particularly pleased to see the remarkable 1926 Thomas Flatiron shortlisted for Restoration of the Year. The car attracted widespread admiration when it appeared at Prescott earlier this year and the nomination is a fitting tribute to the dedication and craftsmanship of Geraint Owen, who brought the unique machine back to life.

The shortlist also features a number of organisations and individuals well known to the historic vehicle community, including Heritage Skills Academy, StarterMotor, Brooklands Museum and the Bugatti Trust, underlining the strength and breadth of the sector.

These nominations reflect the enthusiasm, expertise and commitment that continue to make the historic motoring movement so vibrant. The VSCC is proud to be recognised alongside so many outstanding projects, events and organisations.
