New Treasurer Appointment

The Vintage Sports-Car Club is delighted to announce that at the Committee meeting held on 19 January 2016 Club Director Geoff Smith was appointed as the next Treasurer.
Geoff will replace the present incumbent, Brian Fidler, after the Annual General Meeting to be held on 19 March 2016. The Committee would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Brian on behalf of the Members for his sterling efforts and loyal service to the Club - returning to the Board as he did at very short notice at the end of 2014. The Committee also wishes to thank Geoff for accepting this very important role and to assure the Membership that he has their unanimous support.
Club Secretary, Dave Salmon added ‘We are indebted to Brian Fidler for all of his help and wise counsel as Treasurer, which has helped return the Club to a much stronger financial position after the well documented challenges of 2014. We look forward to developing the same excellent working relationship with Geoff Smith and hope to be able to take advantage of his extensive professional background as we plan for the challenges that lay ahead”.
As a result of this appointment Geoff Smith will no longer stand for re-election in March and so there are now 7 candidates vying for the 4 Committee posts, which will be balloted for at the next AGM.
