The Vintage Sports-Car Club returns to the ever-popular Mallory Park this Saturday for Round 4 of this year’s Formula Vintage.

The Leicestershire venue is a firm favourite amongst Competitors and Spectators alike, set among tranquil lakes and rolling hills, the superb track always encourages top quality racing, with the celebrated annual Handicap Race for Pre-1918 Edwardian Cars sure to be the highlight of the day, if not the year. The event is the only one of its kind in the world and regularly attracts a capacity grid of international Pre-1918 hardware, with almost all taking part over 100 years old.
With its amphitheatre setting, Mallory Park offers some of the best spectator viewing in the UK, with many elevated areas from which you can enjoy the action outdoors or from the comfort of your own vehicle. Once again, those arriving in Pre-war cars will be directed to a Pre-war car park and entered into a free ‘Concours’ competition which will be judged by the VSCC’s Duty Director on the day. A prize will be awarded to the winner.

With a total of 12 races to entertain the crowds including invited grids Morgan 3 Wheelers, F3 500s and Formula Juniors together with the fine array of our regular Competitors in their Austins, Rileys, ERAs to name but a few, it will be a thrilling spectacle.

Club Principal Associates, Bonhams, will once again be supporting the day with an impressive period display in the Paddock, with all the competing cars on show alongside other fine examples from this pioneering era of motor racing and more Vintage entertainment besides. For something a little more modern there will be a selection of the latest Jaguar motor cars compliments of Lancaster Jaguar of Tamworth with a prize draw.

Maison Louis Latour will be presenting winners with their fine wine. Louis Latour is the oldest wine house in Burgundy, founded in 1797 and proud to be supporting Formula Vintage this year.

Live Timings will be available at Competitors, spectators, friends and family are invited to visit the website, where results for each Practice and Race will be published live by our time keepers. This website is accessible from PCs, Tablets and Mobiles. This fantastic service is kindly sponsored by Tom Hardman Ltd.

Free entry to the Competitor Paddock, accessed via the footbridge over the Start/Finish straight; here you will be able to get up close to the competing machinery, speak to the drivers, and explore the day’s Trade Stands and Autojumble.

Practice will get underway at 9.30am with racing to begin at 11:30am and continues after the Lunch Break (all timings subject to change).
